During this informal evening, you will have the opportunity to meet the CADS (Cincinnati Area doula Society) doulas and ask questions about pregnancy and birth.  We are meeting at Barefoot RNR, an integrative wellness center that uses personalized holistic therapy to support women during the birth process.

Do you have questions about your birth options?  Would you like to ask doulas about pregnancy? birth? breastfeeding?  Come join us at the wellness expo.  This is a great opportunity to meet Cincinnati area doulas and gather information you need to make informed decisions about your birth experience.


toLabor (formerly ALACE) Birth Doula Training

Oct 1-3, 2010

Learn more about pregnancy and how to support birthing women and their families at this 3-day hands-on training with experienced instructor, birth advocate and doula Therese Hak-Kuhn. The training will be held at Grailville in Loveland, just north of Cincinnati, Ohio on Oct 1-3. You will receive resources and information about birth options and choices, all necessary information to complete your full toLabor certification and begin your career as a doula. Attached is a detailed Brochure outlining the organization and the training. A registration form is included in the brochure and discounts are available for early registration and for doulas previously trained with other organizations.

Meet the Doulas

Meet the Doulas is an opportunity for expectant mothers and their partners and local area doulas to connect with each other. This provides an opportunity for expecting parents to interview several doulas at once, and provides doulas with an additional way to increse their client base.

Doula Day

Doula Day is an informational session to educate consumers on the importance of doulas and increase awareness of birth options. Those who are looking for more information regarding doulas will have the opportunity to ask questions and gather information.

CADS Meetings

CADS meetings are held once per quarter and are an opportunity for the general membership to address issues of concern, learn more about upcoming scheduled events, vote on leadership roles, etc.

Doula Trainings

Throughout the year, we will have various trainings for new birth and postpartum doulas sponsored by the various doula certifying organizations, such as DONA, ALACE, ICEA, Birthworks, etc.

Other Events

We will have a presence at various other events through the year when appropriate and opportunity arises, for our members to meet with the general public regarding our purpose and increase awareness of doulas and birth options.
